World Water Forum 2024 Delegation Visits Karangasem, Bali

Karangasem, Bali – The delegation from the World Water Forum 2024 visited Karangasem, Bali, to study the traditional Subak irrigation system, which is a cultural heritage of Bali. During this visit, the delegation was introduced to the importance of Subak in water management and agriculture in Bali. The delegation included two lecturers from Universitas Trisakti, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti Nugroho, M.T., IPM, who serves as the Director of the Institute for Research and Community Service, Wahyu Sejati, S.T., M.T., a lecturer from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, and two Civil Engineering students, Salsabilla Dara Ibrahim and Dimas Ibnu Seno. This visit is expected to strengthen international cooperation in the field of water resource management.

The World Water Forum is held every three years between the World Water Council and the host country, with Indonesia aiming to host the World Water Forum 2024. This forum provides a unique platform where the water community and key decision-makers can collaborate and make long-term progress in addressing global water challenges. The forum brings together participants from all levels and fields, including politics, multilateral institutions, academia, civil society, and the private sector.
