Jakarta, October 9, 2025 — Member of Commission XI of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI)/People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Habib Idrus Salim Al Jufri, Lc., M.B.A., paid an important visit to Universitas Trisakti to promote the Indonesia Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP Kuliah) program. The event, held on the 12th floor of Building M, was attended by the university’s leadership, including Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, Vice Rector I Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng., Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH, FISPD, as well as deans, vice deans, and KIP Kuliah scholarship recipients.

In his address, Habib Idrus Salim Al Jufri emphasized the importance of the KIP Kuliah program as part of the government’s efforts to provide broader and more equitable access to higher education for Indonesia’s younger generation. “KIP Kuliah is not just financial assistance; it represents the state’s commitment to ensuring that every child of the nation can pursue their dreams without being hindered by economic barriers,” he stated.

Rector Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi welcomed the visit and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting government programs that assist talented students with financial limitations. “We are very proud of this collaboration. KIP Kuliah opens great opportunities for our students to continue learning and growing without the burden of financial constraints,” he said.

The program also featured a report on KIP recipients delivered by Vice Rector I Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng. This session provided scholarship recipients the opportunity to directly ask Habib Idrus about the mechanisms, rights, and responsibilities associated with the program. Many students expressed that the program had been a tremendous help, motivating them to maximize their learning opportunities.

The visit of Habib Idrus Salim Al Jufri, Lc., M.B.A., to Universitas Trisakti not only marked an important moment in strengthening synergy between the government and the academic community but also served as a strong encouragement for KIP Kuliah recipients to remain enthusiastic in their pursuit of knowledge. The socialization event broadened perspectives and reaffirmed that access to quality higher education is the right of every citizen, regardless of economic background.
