This annual event aims to motivate new students to develop their talents and potential through various student activities within the Universitas Trisakti campus.
Liputan6.com, Jakarta – As part of the PKKMB Universitas Trisakti 2024 series and in an effort to create high-achieving generations and a comfortable campus environment, the Student Affairs Division of Universitas Trisakti is hosting the UKM Expo 2024 from August 26-31, 2024, at Plaza Campus A, Universitas Trisakti, Grogol, West Jakarta.
This annual event is designed to motivate new students to develop their talents and potential through various student activities within the Universitas Trisakti campus, equipping them to face the evolving educational landscape and become competent, creative, and competitive graduates.
At least 23 student activity units (UKMs) are showcasing their respective fields, including Religious Affairs, Scientific Reasoning, Martial Arts Sports, Game Sports, and Arts and Culture. New students are introduced to the various student activities they can join according to their interests and talents. To encourage participation, each UKM also highlights the achievements they have earned, as well as the rewards received by medalists.
Universitas Trisakti’s Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Ir. Yoska Oktaviano, M.T., stated that the UKM Expo 2024 is an effort to invite new students to become part of Universitas Trisakti’s UKMs as a platform for self-development to achieve their best accomplishments.
“This UKM Expo is held to encourage all new students at Universitas Trisakti to actively participate in student activities, which can later help them become outstanding students in various fields. It is also our effort to prevent bullying, drug abuse, and intolerance. Through this event, it is certain that leadership, camaraderie, competition, and empathy will be fostered within them,” Yoska explained.
Momentum
The participation of 23 UKMs at Universitas Trisakti is also expected to be a crucial moment in attracting the interest of new students to become part of a community that builds and empowers, while also providing positive impacts for students and the Trisakti University campus community, which is anti-bullying, anti-drug, and anti-intolerance.
“Students deemed worthy of representing Trisakti University in national or international competitions in their respective fields will definitely be included. We will facilitate everything. We will take care of everything,” Yoska concluded.
This year’s UKM Expo is expected to see an increase in student participation, creating new generations with potential. Additionally, the event includes many beneficial activities, such as Exhibitions, Student Interest and Potential Consultations, Competition Information, Activity Field Demonstrations, and Entertainment.
