Students from Universitas Trisakti have achieved another remarkable success, winning awards at the “Circular Economy for Innovation Start-Up SMEs” event held on November 11-12, 2024, at Atma Jaya University in Jakarta. The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding and creativity in fostering circular economy innovations within start-up and small-medium enterprises (SMEs) to address sustainability challenges. Trisakti’s Sustainability Center (TSC) supported the event as part of the Erasmus EcoGreen Project Grant activities.

Universitas Trisakti excelled in both categories, winning first place in the poster competition with a team from the Environmental Engineering Program, Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology (FATL), consisting of Febrian Adam Samir, Ayu Nurbaningrum, and M. Dafiq Shadran. Their poster concept illustrated the application of circular economy principles within sustainable SMEs.

In the article category, I Putu Ryan Adi from the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) won first place, while Michelle Christie from the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) earned third place. Their articles highlighted the importance of sustainable innovation in SMEs by applying circular economy principles to enhance resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

This achievement reflects the positive contributions of Universitas Trisakti students in realizing a sustainable vision through their innovation and creativity. It is hoped that this accomplishment will inspire students across Indonesia to continue developing innovative and sustainable solutions that support the vision of a green economy in Indonesia.
