Jakarta, June 17, 2025 — Universitas Trisakti once again demonstrated its commitment to broadening students’ horizons through a Company Visit program, this time to one of Indonesia’s key financial institutions: the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan or LPS). Held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the LPS office in Jakarta, the visit was attended by enthusiastic students from various study programs eager to deepen their understanding of LPS’s functions and strategic role in maintaining the stability of the national banking system.
The event began with opening remarks from Richy Wijaya W., S.E., M.M., C.R.A., C.R.P., the accompanying faculty member, who emphasized the importance of not only mastering theory in the classroom but also gaining firsthand insights into the real-world practices and institutions that shape Indonesia’s economy.
Also present were Muhammad Arifin, Head of the LPS Public Education Team, and Fanny Stephanie Parinussa, Director of the International Relations Group at LPS, who is also an alumna of Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Law, Class of 2001. In her address, Fanny shared her career journey, highlighting how her professional path began in university and eventually led her to contribute to an institution that plays a vital role in safeguarding public savings.
The main session featured Elva Yuanita, Head of the PRP Operational Support Division at LPS, who delivered a presentation titled “A Closer Look at the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation.” Elva outlined LPS’s core duties and functions, from insuring customer deposits in banks to handling the resolution of failed banks.
“LPS not only insures deposits but also holds the authority to resolve troubled banks. This is a concrete effort to uphold public trust in the banking system,” Elva explained to the participants.
Through this visit, Universitas Trisakti students are expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of Indonesia’s financial sector while cultivating the motivation to actively contribute to the nation’s strategic institutions in the future.
