Universitas Trisakti held a send-off event for students participating in the Applied Technology Independent Study Course (KUM-ITT) Desa for the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This event took place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in the Auditorium of Building M, 12th Floor, Usakti, and was attended by Vice Rector III Ir. Yoska Oktaviano, MT, deans and vice deans 1 and 3 within Usakti, lecturers, and students.
In his speech, Vice Rector I of Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng., expressed his hopes that the students would be able to apply the knowledge they have learned during their studies in this KUM-ITT Desa activity.
“We hope that students can make a tangible contribution and have a positive impact on the community in Sukabumi through the KUM-ITT program,” said Dr. Burhan.
Dr. Ir. Mohammad Ischak, M.T., Deputy Director of PKM, LPPM Usakti, reported that a total of 118 students from 9 faculties are participating in the KUM-ITT Desa 2024, spreading across 5 villages in Sukabumi. Before departing for Sukabumi, the students had undergone a series of preparations since March 2024, including training and provision of materials relevant to the needs of the local community and also mid-term exams. They will be placed in 5 villages in Sukabumi until July 11, 2024, to carry out various work programs aimed at improving community welfare through the application of applied technology in line with the Village SDGs.
Through the KUM-ITT Desa program, Universitas Trisakti remains committed to producing graduates who are not only academically intelligent but also possess practical skills and a high social spirit. This program is expected to provide valuable experience for the students and bring real benefits to the community of Ciambar District, Sukabumi, West Java.
