Jakarta, July 22, 2025 — The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, along with members of the university leadership, held an audience with the Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, to explore potential strategic collaborations between Universitas Trisakti (Usakti) and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.
The meeting, held at Jakarta City Hall, was officially opened by the Deputy Governor. In his welcome remarks, Rano Karno expressed his appreciation for the visit and affirmed his support for collaboration between academic institutions and regional governments in advancing the welfare of Jakarta’s residents.
Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi presented Universitas Trisakti’s strengths and flagship programs that could align with the initiatives of the Jakarta Provincial Government. He emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration, particularly in the areas of education, research, community service, and the development of innovation and evidence-based public policy.
“Universitas Trisakti is fully committed to actively contributing to sustainable development in Jakarta through concrete and strategic cooperation with the Provincial Government,” stated Prof. Kadarsah during his presentation.
The discussion also covered potential collaboration in areas such as training programs, capacity-building for civil servants, applied research addressing urban challenges, student internship opportunities, and community empowerment initiatives across various areas of Jakarta.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to follow up on the discussion through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the implementation of concrete joint programs.
Through this synergy between Universitas Trisakti and the Jakarta Provincial Government, it is hoped that a collaborative ecosystem will be fostered—one that brings broad benefits to both the higher education sector and the wider Jakarta community.
