Universitas Trisakti Participates in the Research Expo and LPPM UNJ Award

Universitas Trisakti accepted an invitation from the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Prof. Dr. Iwan Sugihartono, M.Si., to participate in the Research Expo and LPPM UNJ Award held on May 27, 2025, at the Bung Hatta Hall, Graduate School Building, UNJ. The event, themed “Contributing to Indonesia: Integrating Innovation in Research, Community Service, and Self-Reliance to Build the Future,” was officially opened by the Rector of UNJ, Prof. Dr. Komarudin, M.Si. Also in attendance was the Director of Research and Community Service, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. apt. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Si., Ph.D.

In addition to Universitas Trisakti, other participating universities included Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Terbuka, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, and Universitas Budi Luhur.

At the exhibition, Universitas Trisakti presented posters of two inventions entitled:

  • “Plastic Bottle Sorting and Shredding Machine”
  • “Vertical Cylindrical Column Photobioreactor for Microalgae Cultivation and Harvesting”

These inventions were developed by inventor teams led respectively by Prof. Dr. Wegig Murwonugroho, S.Sn., M.Hum. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. Notably, the featured photobioreactor has already been commercialized through LumiAlgae Tech and is available on Tokopedia.

Two LPPM Center Heads were assigned to oversee Trisakti’s participation in the event:

  • Erni Erfan, Head of the Center for Innovation and Science and Technology Resources, who also serves as Head of the Patent and Simple Patent Sub-unit
  • Dr. Rosyida Permatasari, Head of the Intellectual Property Rights Center

They were assisted by Mr. Ega Ermawan, A.Md. and Mr. Suherman.

During the event, two barcodes were made available:

  • The first barcode contains a collection of invention posters from Universitas Trisakti’s inventor teams, composed of both faculty and students—some of which are collaborative works with Universitas Indonesia.
  • The second barcode provides information on patents, simple patents, and industrial design rights.

The content accessible via these barcodes will continue to expand in line with the increasing number of Intellectual Property Rights (excluding copyrights) granted exclusive legal protection by the Republic of Indonesia.
