Jakarta, November 22, 2024 – In celebration of Universitas Trisakti’s 59th Anniversary, the Faculty of Dentistry successfully held the 2nd International Conference of Dental Technology and Medical Science (ICDenTeMS). This prestigious event took place on November 21–22, 2024, at the Auditorium, Campus B, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, in a hybrid format, enabling both in-person and virtual participation. The conference served as a scholarly platform for academics, practitioners, and dental experts from various countries to exchange the latest knowledge and foster global collaborations.

In his opening remarks, the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, D.E.A., emphasized the university’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge.

“ICDenTeMS is a tangible contribution to building global synergy in the field of dental medicine. We hope this conference provides immense benefits to all participants,” said Prof. Kadarsah.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastoeti, M.Kes, Sp.BMM, PhD, expressed pride in organizing the event, aligning with Trisakti University’s vision of becoming an internationally renowned educational institution.

“With distinguished speakers from various countries, this event serves as an inspiration and motivation to continue innovating in dental medicine,” remarked drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastoeti.

The Chair of the 2nd ICDenTeMS, Prof. drg. Rahmi Amtha, MDS, Sp.PM, PhD, highlighted the conference’s success in attracting 431 participants, including 117 oral presenters from both national and international universities. The event received 107 research papers, rigorously evaluated by internal reviewers. Among them, five top papers were selected in the Dentist and Student categories as finalists for the Unilever ICDenTeMS Awards, with the judging successfully concluded the previous day. Prof. Rahmi also expressed her honor in hosting exceptional national and international speakers who have established strong collaborations with the Faculty of Dentistry and other institutions worldwide.

The two-day seminar was followed by a community service program on the third day, involving international speakers to further extend the conference’s impact.
