To celebrate the spirit of togetherness and social care, the Universitas Trisakti Faculty of Law Alumni Association (IKA FH Usakti) organized a mass wedding at Ash-Syuhada Mosque, Campus A, Universitas Trisakti, on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Ten couples began their new journey by exchanging marriage vows simultaneously, creating a heartwarming and joyful moment. The event was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, SH, MH.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nurbaiti expressed pride and appreciation for this social initiative organized by the alumni association. The Chairperson of IKA FH Usakti, Sahala Siahan, S.H., also delivered an inspiring speech.

“This mass wedding is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to helping others, particularly couples who may face financial or administrative challenges in getting married. We hope this event brings blessings and happiness to everyone involved,” said Sahala.

Also attending was Cornelia Agatha, S.H., M.H., who recited a poignant poem about marriage. The ten couples participating in the mass wedding each had their unique stories. Eight of them had already exchanged vows at the Grogol Petamburan Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), while the remaining two couples performed their vows directly at Ash-Syuhada Mosque, witnessed by family and guests. Each ceremony proceeded smoothly and solemnly, with an emotional atmosphere felt throughout.

Following the marriage ceremonies, the event continued with a reception held at the same location. Newlyweds, their families, and invited guests attended enthusiastically to celebrate the joyous occasion. The reception served not only as a celebration but also as a show of moral support from Trisakti University Faculty of Law alumni for the newlywed couples.

The mass wedding received positive responses from various parties and the surrounding community. It demonstrated that the Faculty of Law alumni are committed not only to academic excellence but also to social welfare and community empowerment. Through this event, IKA FH Usakti aims to continue making a positive impact on society while inspiring others to be more attentive to social needs.
