The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universitas Trisakti and the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK MIGAS) was held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM WIB in the 12th Floor Meeting Room of Building M, Universitas Trisakti. This event marked the beginning of a closer collaboration between academia and the energy industry. Key officials from both parties attended the MoU signing, which aims to strengthen synergy in developing a workforce ready for the upstream oil and gas sector and to foster innovation and research that will positively impact Indonesia’s energy industry.

In her remarks, Universitas Trisakti’s Vice Rector IV, Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD, expressed that this collaboration is a continuation of a previously established MoU, now expanding to new sectors such as Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), which can collaborate with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Trisakti.

“There are many areas where we can collaborate to actively support the development of the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia,” stated the Vice Rector IV.

Representing SKK MIGAS, Luky Agung Yusgiantoro, the Secretary of SKK MIGAS, also gave a speech, extending high appreciation and an open invitation for cooperation with Universitas Trisakti.

“Through this MoU, we hope to strengthen collaboration in various aspects, from joint research to providing internship programs for students to gain practical field experience,” said the SKK MIGAS Secretary.

This MoU signing is also expected to accelerate the development of a competent workforce, particularly in the oil and gas energy sector. Through internship and joint research opportunities, Trisakti University students will gain invaluable hands-on experience and build a solid professional network within the oil and gas sector. The event concluded with a group photo of the leadership teams from Universitas Trisakti and SKK MIGAS.

Looking ahead, both parties agreed to continue collaborating to support developments, particularly in the energy sector, and to ensure that each cooperation program maximizes benefits for society, industry, and higher education in Indonesia.
