Universitas Trisakti, in collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), successfully held a religious gathering on Saturday, October 18, 2024, with the theme “The Power of Hajj.” The event featured Ustad Adiwarman Karim, one of Indonesia’s leading Islamic economic experts, who delivered an inspiring sermon to the participants. In his talk, Ustad Adiwarman Karim emphasized the importance of the Hajj pilgrimage, not only as a spiritual ritual but also as a reflection of the economic strength of Muslims worldwide.

“Hajj is a monumental event where Muslims from around the world gather, not only for worship but also to strengthen economic solidarity. This opportunity can serve as a means of economic revival for the Muslim community by utilizing international networks and advancing Islamic finance,” he said.

In addition to the sermon, the event was enlivened by the donation of two vehicles from Bank Syariah Indonesia to Universitas Trisakti. These vehicles are expected to support campus operational activities and symbolize the growing partnership between BSI and Universitas Trisakti moving forward. The handover was conducted by representatives from Bank Syariah Indonesia and received by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, who expressed deep appreciation for the support.

The religious gathering was attended by lecturers, students, and various other invited guests. The event was conducted with reverence and a strong sense of community, reaffirming the importance of synergy between educational institutions and Islamic banking in supporting the spiritual and economic development of the Muslim community.
