Jakarta, May 21, 2025 — Universitas Trisakti has once again expanded its roster of distinguished academics with the formal inauguration of a new professor from the Faculty of Law. In a solemn and meaningful ceremony, Prof. Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, SH, M.Hum was officially appointed as a Professor in Insurance Law and Land Transportation Law. She becomes the 73rd professor to be inaugurated at Universitas Trisakti.

The inauguration ceremony was led directly by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, and was held at the Auditorium of Building D, Campus A, Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta.

In her inaugural scientific oration titled “The Rights of Victims in Public Transportation Accidents: Between Carrier Liability and Insurance”, Prof. Siti Nurbaiti highlighted the importance of legal protection for victims of public transportation accidents. She emphasized the strategic roles of transportation providers and insurance companies in providing compensation and restoring victims’ rights. The topic is regarded as highly relevant in the context of transportation law and consumer protection in Indonesia.

In his remarks, the Rector of Universitas Trisakti stated that this achievement is not only a source of pride for the Faculty of Law but also for the entire Trisakti academic community.

“The inauguration of a professor reflects our strong commitment to advancing academic quality and contributing to scholarly development on both national and international levels,” said Prof. Kadarsah.

Prof. Siti Nurbaiti is widely recognized as a dedicated academic with a longstanding commitment to the advancement of legal studies. Her extensive experience in education and research has significantly enriched legal teaching and policy-making in Indonesia.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the academic community of Universitas Trisakti, along with invited guests from various educational institutions and legal organizations. This milestone also marks another step forward in Universitas Trisakti’s continued efforts to strengthen its academic and intellectual presence at the national level.
