Jakarta, June 14, 2025 — Universitas Trisakti, in collaboration with IKADOKANSI (Association of Doctoral Alumni in Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti), successfully held a National Seminar titled “Advancing MSMEs: The Role of Government and Support from the Economic Ecosystem”, at the Auditorium of Building S, Trisakti University.
This seminar served as a strategic forum bringing together government representatives, academics, entrepreneurs, and the financial sector to strengthen the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of the national economy and a driving force for inclusive and sustainable growth.
In his opening report, Dr. David Kiki Baringin, M.T., Samosir, S.E., M.M., CMA., CSRS, as Chair of the Organizing Committee, shared that the event was attended by more than 250 in-person participants and over 100 online attendees from various regions across Indonesia. Most of the participants were MSME practitioners, students, alumni, academics, and MSME observers who enthusiastically engaged in all seminar sessions.
The seminar was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, who emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral support to enable MSMEs to truly and consistently move up to the next level.

In his keynote address, Minister Maman Abdurrahman underscored the importance of stakeholder synergy in accelerating MSME growth in Indonesia:
“The journey of MSMEs to level up cannot be undertaken alone. Collaboration between entrepreneurs, academics, financial institutions, and the government is the key to creating real impact,” said Maman Abdurrahman, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia.
The discussion sessions highlighted that enhancing MSME capacity requires an integrated ecosystem—encompassing access to financing, credit guarantees, mentoring, and supportive regulations that favor small and medium-sized enterprises.
