The Student Affairs and Alumni Department of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning Universitas Trisakti launched the Teaching Program for Orphan Children in collaboration with Laznas Rumah Yatim on Friday, March 22, 2024. The activity began with the signing of a cooperation agreement, followed by speeches by the Chairman of the Student Executive Board (BEM), Mr. Raflis, ST., MT as the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, and Mr. Lili H. Abdurahman as the Deputy Director of Laznas Rumah Yatim Jabodetabek.

In his speech, the Vice Dean III stated that this collaboration had actually been planned since last year with the Foundation’s Deputy Director to carry out activities such as teaching English and public speaking by FTSP Usakti students. In addition, student teaching activities will also include humanitarian programs and economic improvement programs jointly conducted by FTSP Usakti students and the Rumah Yatim Foundation.

The teaching program was launched by the Chairman of BEM FTSP and accompanied by Mrs. Dra. Agustin R. Lakawa, M.S., Ph.D., Lakawa as the English Language Lecturer and Head of Usakti Cultural Center, and Mr. Ryan Faza P, ST, MT as the Assistant to the Vice Dean III of FTSP, with the provision of teaching modules jointly prepared by students and the Office of International Cooperation and Cultural Affairs (KUIKK) of Usakti.

After the launch of the student teaching activities, the event concluded with a Prayer and Iftar.
