The Information Commission and the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) of DKI Jakarta Province held a seminar on public information openness in collaboration with the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti (FH Usakti). The seminar took place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the E. Suherman Auditorium, Building H, Universitas Trisakti. The seminar, themed “Access to Public Information in Enhancing Public Participation,” was attended by students of FH Usakti as well as the general public. The speakers for the seminar, which was moderated by M. Imam Nasef, S.H., M.H., a lecturer at FH Usakti, included Agus Wijayanto N., M.H., Commissioner of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Information Commission; Dr. Wiratno, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at FH Usakti; and Mimah Susanti, M.Sos., Member of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) Central.

The event began with opening remarks from Heru Budi Hartono, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Province, followed by remarks from the Dean of FH Usakti, Dr. Dra. Siti Nurbaiti, S.H., M.Hum; Harry Ara Hutabarat, S.H., M.H., Chair of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Information Commission; and Sigit Wijatmoko, A.P., M.Si., Acting Head of the Jakarta Provincial Department of Communications, Information, and Statistics (Kominfotik).

The seminar session continued with presentations by the speakers, interspersed with prize-winning games for the participants. At the end of the seminar, participants were invited to ask questions and engage in discussions on digital technology and public information openness.

It is hoped that this seminar will provide benefits for the participants in gaining a better understanding of the importance of public information openness.
