The Master’s Program in Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti, hosted a Summer School from July 22-26, 2024, with the theme “Current Trends in Higher Education Teaching Methodologies.” This event is part of the MASUDEM (Master Studies in Sustainable Development and Management) program, funded by Erasmus+ CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education), co-funded by the European Union.
This event is part of a joint consortium between universities in Europe and Southeast Asia, led by Professor Aneta Caplanova from the University of Economics in Bratislava. The overall members include: the Master’s Program in Management at FEB USAKTI, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), along with three institutions from Thailand: Srinakharinwirot University, Naresuan University, and ICONIDA. From Europe, the involved institutions are the University of Economics in Bratislava (UEBA), Mendel University (MENDELU) in Brno, Czech Republic, ELTE University in Budapest, Hungary, and Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) in Seville, Spain. The Steering Committee for this Summer School is chaired by Prof. Dr. Asep Hermawan, M.Sc.
The objective of this activity is to discuss best practices in integrating sustainability aspects into the curriculum of the Master’s program in Management from a global perspective. For the Master’s Program in Management at Trisakti University, this represents a development or strengthening of the curriculum for mandatory courses and focuses on the curriculum for the concentration in Sustainability Management, which is expected to attract international students.
This event also serves as an opportunity to introduce the MASUDEM project as a collaborative initiative between partner universities in Europe and Southeast Asia, supporting the development of sustainability-based curricula.
The event will be conducted over five days with four speakers from Europe. The first day will be opened by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, who will deliver a welcome address to the MASUDEM participants. The second welcome address will be given by the MASUDEM project coordinator, Prof. Anneta Caplanova, Ph.D. The trainers for this event are:
