On June 19, 2024, the Auditorium of Building H at Universitas Trisakti witnessed an in-depth intellectual discussion about the potential relationship between Indonesia and Ukraine. This public lecture was conducted by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Indonesia, Dr. Vasyl Hamianin, aiming to pioneer concrete steps towards closer cooperation between these two countries in the future.

The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, warmly welcomed the presence of the Ukrainian Ambassador and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the context of increasing globalization. He also highlighted the role of students in shaping the nation’s future, expressing hope that they would actively participate in building stronger bilateral relations between Indonesia and Ukraine.

In his presentation, the Ukrainian Ambassador highlighted several potential areas for cooperation between Indonesia and Ukraine. One of these areas is economic cooperation, exploring mutually beneficial investment and trade opportunities. Additionally, cooperation in the fields of education and research was a primary focus, where student exchanges and joint research could enrich the academic and cultural experiences of both countries.

Besides the public lecture, there was also an art exhibition titled “50 Inventions Bestowed By Ukraine.” This event was also attended by the leadership and students of Trisakti University. With a spirit of collaboration, Indonesia and Ukraine can explore untapped potentials to create a better future for a continuously evolving world.
