On July 17, 2024, Universitas Trisakti held an event for the signing of a cooperation agreement between Universitas Trisakti and BPKN RI, as well as a public lecture themed “Consumer Behavior Culture in the Digital Era”. The event took place in Building M, 12th Floor, Universitas Trisakti. The event was opened with a speech by Ir. Agus Guntoro as Director of KUIKK, followed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, Rector of Universitas Trisakti, and also a speech from Dr. M. Mufti Mubarok, sas.h., S.Sos., M.Si. CROP, Chairman of the National Consumer Protection Agency of the Republic of Indonesia.

The aim of this cooperation is to enhance participants’ understanding and awareness of consumer rights and protection in the rapidly growing digital era. The event was attended by hundreds of participants from various faculties. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti and the Head of BPKN RI. Additionally, cooperation agreements were signed between the Faculty of Law of Universitas Trisakti and BPKN RI in the field of consumer protection, as well as between the Faculty of Industrial Technology of Universitas Trisakti and BPKN RI regarding consumer protection in the field of industrial technology. These agreements were signed by the deans of each faculty, Dr. Hj. Tri Sulistyowati, SH. M.Hum., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo, ST, M.Eng, IPM., and the Chairman of Commission IV of BPKN RI.

The Chairman of BPKN RI appreciated Universitas Trisakti’s initiative in this cooperation, hoping it would significantly contribute to educating and empowering consumers in this complex digital era. The relevant themed public lecture was held after the signing session, featuring experts in consumer protection law and digital transaction and investment specialists, providing participants with deep insights into how consumer behavior changes in the digital era and the importance of consumer education and protection in this context.

The event concluded with great enthusiasm and positive interaction and ended with an interactive game with gifts from BPKN RI.
