Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS)

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) Jakarta, the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) National, the Indonesian Urban Planning Experts Association (IARKI), and the Jakarta Provincial Public Housing and Settlement Area Agency (DPRKP).

The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) Universitas Trisakti has officially established a collaboration with the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) Jakarta, the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) National, the Indonesian Urban Planning Experts Association (IARKI), and the Jakarta Provincial Public Housing and Settlement Area Agency (DPRKP). This collaboration took place on August 16, 2024, at Building C, 9th Floor, FTSP Usakti. The aim of this collaboration is to strengthen the synergy between academics and practitioners in the fields of architecture and urban planning.

The MoU and PKS signing ceremony was attended by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsyah Suryadi, DEA., who, in his speech, expressed his hope that this collaboration would enhance the academic curriculum at FTSP and provide greater opportunities for students to be directly involved in real projects.

“This collaboration is a strategic step to bridge the academic world and the industry. We hope our students can gain valuable experience and direct insights from professionals in the field,” said Prof. Kadarsyah.

As part of this collaboration, FTSP, along with the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) Jakarta, the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) National, the Indonesian Urban Planning Experts Association (IARKI), and the Jakarta Provincial Public Housing and Settlement Area Agency (DPRKP), will focus on several areas, including the organization of seminars and workshops, joint research, and internship programs for students. Additionally, all parties plan to develop innovative projects that can make a positive contribution to urban and community development.

The signing of this MoU and PKS is expected to mark the beginning of various productive initiatives that can strengthen the role and contribution of the FTSP Trisakti University in civil engineering and planning, as well as enhance professional networks between academics and architectural practitioners in Indonesia.
