Jakarta, September 27, 2024 – Universitas Trisakti once again marked an outstanding achievement at the Industrial Engineering Awards 2024, held on Friday evening at Soehanna Hall, The Energy Building, SCBD, South Jakarta. The event, organized by the Industrial Engineering Division of the Indonesian Engineers Association (BKTI PII), carried the theme “Innovative Engineering for Sustainable Development in Shaping The Future of Indonesia,” focusing on the vital role of engineering innovation in sustainable development to shape the future of Indonesia.

The event was officially opened by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Airlangga Hartarto, MBT, IPU, who delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of innovation in supporting sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

At this prestigious event, the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, along with Dr. Ir. Tiena Gustina Amran, a lecturer from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, received the Outstanding Achievement Award for their exceptional contributions to the field of industrial engineering.

The nomination process for the award spanned over five months with a highly competitive selection process, led by the Chairman of the Jury, Dr. Ing. Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie, Dipl. Ing, MBA, IPU, who also serves as the Head of the Expert Council of the Industrial Engineering Division of the Indonesian Engineers Association and Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association. The award is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the recipients in advancing higher education and the engineering industry in Indonesia.

In addition to the awards for Prof. Kadarsah and Dr. Tiena, Dr. Ir. Rina Fitriana, S.T., M.M., I.P.M., Head of the Industrial Engineering Program, also received an award for the achievement of Universitas Trisakti’s Industrial Engineering Program, which successfully obtained accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE). This accolade acknowledges the program’s high-quality education, which continually strives to meet international standards in producing competent graduates ready to compete globally.

The awards ceremony was attended by prominent figures in the field of industrial engineering, academics, and industry practitioners. The awards received by Universitas Trisakti serve as motivation to continue improving the quality of education and fostering innovation for the advancement of Indonesia’s industry.
