3rd National Seminar on Sustainable Regional and Urban Development (PWKB)

Jakarta, July 30, 2025 — The Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology (FALTL) of Universitas Trisakti once again held the 3rd National Seminar on Sustainable Regional and Urban Development (PWKB), conducted online via Zoom. With the theme “Building Smart, Inclusive, and Resilient Cities Towards a Sustainable Indonesia,” the event served as a strategic platform to address challenges and opportunities in advancing sustainable urban development in Indonesia.
The seminar opened with a report from the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Ir. Hanny Wahidin Wiranegara, M.T., who emphasized the importance of collaboration among academics, practitioners, and policymakers in realizing smart cities that are both inclusive and resilient.
The event was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, who affirmed the university’s commitment to being part of the national development solution—particularly in the fields of urban planning and environment—through sustained research and innovation.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Drs. Yayat Supriyatna, M.S.P., a national urban planning expert who facilitated dynamic and in-depth dialogue with the speakers.

To close the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology, Dr. Ir. Silia Yuslim, M.T., delivered a summary and conclusion of the seminar. She emphasized that through cross-disciplinary collaboration, evidence-based policy strengthening, and continuous innovation, building smart, inclusive, and resilient cities is not just a vision—but an achievable reality for Indonesia.
