Jakarta (ANTARA) – Deputy VI for National Unity at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Janedjri M. Gaffar, urged the younger generation to improve the quality of human resources (HR) as it is the key to realizing Indonesia Emas 2045.
“The quality of human resources (HR) is the key to achieving Indonesia Emas 2045,” he said during the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2024 event at Universitas Trisakti, held on August 23-24, 2024, at Campus A, Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta, in a statement released in Jakarta on Saturday.
He emphasized that the future of the nation is in their hands.
“In 2045, all of you will be the decision-makers because by then, you will be in control of this country,” he said.
In his public lecture titled “The Role of Higher Education in Preparing for Indonesia Emas 2045,” he congratulated the new students of Universitas Trisakti 2024 on beginning their education.
“Graduate as soon as possible so that you can dedicate your time and energy to this country,” he said.
Janedjri also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the state and universities due to the rapid technological advancements and their complexities.
He mentioned that the process of transforming Universitas Trisakti into a state university with legal entity status (PTN-BH) is ongoing and will soon be finalized.
“I need to inform you that we have reached an agreement between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the Ministry of Finance, that shortly after the revision of the Government Regulation on Higher Education is enacted, we will immediately work towards transforming Universitas Trisakti and five educational units under the Trisakti Foundation into PTN-BH,” he said.
He asserted that, from both legal and historical perspectives, Universitas Trisakti belongs to the state.
“It is important for all of us to know that based on a court decision that has obtained legal force, not only from a juridical aspect but also from a historical aspect, Universitas Trisakti belongs to the state. We have all the complete documentation,” he said.
PKKMB 2024, themed “Unlock Your Passion, Unlock Your Future!” was attended by over 2,800 new students, including 347 students who received various scholarship programs provided by Universitas Trisakti.
The PKKMB event was officially opened by Universitas Trisakti Rector Kadarsyah Suryadi, attended by Trisakti Foundation Chairperson Ainun Na’im, Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Abdul Haris, and Deputy VI for National Unity at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Janedjri M. Gaffar.
In addition to the public lecture, Universitas Trisakti officially opened the Trisakti Foodhall and Usakti Prima Medika Clinic, located in the Campus A area of Universitas Trisakti.
