Jakarta, Indonesia – Tuesday, February 25, 2025 – Universitas Trisakti conducted a protocol training session at the Seminar Room, 12th Floor, Building M, Universitas Trisakti. The event was attended by 50 participants, consisting of students and academic staff eager to deepen their understanding and skills in protocol management and professional MC (Master of Ceremony) roles.
The training was opened with remarks by Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD, Vice Rector IV of Universitas Trisakti. In her speech, Prof. Erri emphasized the importance of understanding protocol etiquette in educational institutions and formal events, as well as how these skills can help participants navigate opportunities in both academic and professional environments.
The main session of the training commenced with a presentation guided by Dr. drg. Dewi Priandini, Sp.PM, as the moderator. The first speaker, Yayat Hendayana, S.S., M.Si, and the second speaker, Neni Herlina, M.A.P., CPR, both members of the Protocol Team of the Directorate General at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, provided in-depth insights into the roles and responsibilities of protocol officers and essential techniques for becoming an effective protocol officer and MC.
During their presentations, Yayat Hendayana and Neni Herlina covered various crucial aspects of protocol management, including event planning, guest seating arrangements, and public speaking etiquette. They also highlighted the importance of clear and confident communication in conducting events, explaining how an MC can create a professional and engaging atmosphere.
Following the presentations, an interactive Q&A session took place, allowing participants to ask questions and gain further insights into the challenges commonly faced in protocol roles and the best strategies to overcome them.
As the highlight of the training, a hands-on workshop was conducted, where participants had the opportunity to practice their skills as protocol officers and MCs. This practical session enabled them to apply their newly acquired knowledge by organizing events, welcoming guests, and speaking in public professionally and effectively.
After the workshop, the event concluded with closing remarks from the moderator, Dr. drg. Dewi Priandini, Sp.PM, followed by a group photo session as a memento of this highly beneficial program.
This training is expected to equip participants with practical skills for handling protocol and MC duties at significant events while enhancing their professionalism in communication and event management in the future.
