October 2, 2024 – The Faculty of Arts and Design Universitas Trisakti held a public lecture that attracted students and photography enthusiasts on campus on October 1, 2024. The event, titled “Workshop Lighting Technique for People & Still Life Photography,” was attended by professional photographers and experts in the field. During the workshop, participants were given in-depth knowledge of effective lighting techniques for portrait and still life photography. Urs Recher, a renowned photographer, presented various lighting techniques, ranging from natural light to the use of studio lights. He also explained the importance of selecting the right equipment and arranging compositions to create captivating images.

Students enthusiastically participated in the practical session, where they had the opportunity to directly apply the techniques they had learned. Various lighting tools, such as softboxes and reflectors, were provided to help participants achieve optimal results.

“This event was incredibly valuable, especially for those of us looking to deepen our knowledge of photography. I learned a lot about how lighting can change the atmosphere of a photo,” said one of Universitas Trisakti’s photography students.
