Open House of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology (FALTL)

The Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology (FALTL) Universitas Trisakti held an open house event to welcome prospective new students on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Building K. This event aimed to introduce prospective students to the various study programs at FALTL, the facilities, and the exhibition of course products. The open house event was held in the Meeting Room on the 6th floor of FALTL and was guided by Dibyanti Danniswari, S.P, M.Si, M.Agr, Ph.D.

The event began with a welcome speech and opening by the Dean of FALTL, Dr. Melati Ferianita Fachrul, MS. She provided a brief overview of the importance of choosing a university and study program that emphasizes sustainable environments and cities, as well as the opportunities that students can achieve in the future. Another welcome speech was given by Debbie Kemala Sari, S.T. MBA., M.T., the Head of Promotion and Admissions Units Universitas Trisakti. She explained the scholarships offered by Trisakti University for prospective students and provided a brief explanation of the admissions process.

The event continued with presentations on the Landscape Architecture Program, Environmental Engineering Program, and Regional and Urban Planning Program by Wisely Yahya, S.T., M.P.W.K. The presentations highlighted the advantages of the study programs, their accreditation, achievements in academic and non-academic competitions by students, and the job prospects for FALTL graduates.

Next, the open house participants took a campus tour guided by Sheilla Megagupita Putri Marendra, ST., MT, and a promotion team consisting of lecturers and students. The campus tour included:

  • An exhibition of course products in the 6th-floor lobby of FALTL
  • The Technology and Art Laboratory in Landscape Architecture
  • The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory
  • The Microbiology Laboratory
  • The 8th-floor Studio (Space Utilization Simulation: PWK Program)
  • The Final Project Room for the PWK Program
  • The Environmental Laboratory

Participants appeared enthusiastic and actively engaged in discussions during the campus tour. The event received positive feedback from the participants, who were prospective FALTL students. This event not only provided information about FALTL but also served as an initial step to strengthen the relationship between the faculty and the prospective new students.
