The Faculty of Dentistry once again held an oath-taking ceremony for new dentists for the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The event took place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Aston Kartika Grogol Hotel & Conferences, West Jakarta. A total of 94 dentists who had successfully completed their studies attended the ceremony.
On this occasion, the event was opened by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA. In his speech, he encouraged the new dentists to continually enhance their competencies and maintain integrity in providing healthcare services to the community.
“As Trisakti graduates, we hope you will be at the forefront of advancing dental and oral healthcare services in Indonesia. Today is a historic day for all of us, especially for the new dentists. You have undergone a long and challenging journey to reach this point. May you serve the community well and continue to improve your skills in the field of dentistry,” he said.
The event continued with the oath-taking ceremony, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastuti, MKes., Sp.BMM., PhD. During this ceremony, the new dentists took their oaths before faculty officials, representatives from the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI), and their families. This oath-taking marked that the new dentists are now qualified to practice dentistry professionally and ethically.
The ceremony concluded with congratulatory messages and the presentation of certificates to the new dentists. The event was also enlivened by musical performances and expressions of gratitude from the new graduates to the leadership of Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Dentistry and their parents, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. With the inauguration of these 94 new dentists, it is hoped that they will contribute significantly to improving the quality of dental and oral healthcare services in Indonesia.
Congratulations to the new dentists, and best of luck in carrying out this noble duty.
