The Faculty of Dentistry once again held an oath/promise-taking ceremony for new dentists for the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The event took place on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Ballroom of Menara Peninsula Hotel, Jakarta. The ceremony was attended by 82 dentists who successfully completed their studies, including 66 new dental graduates and 16 graduates of the structured scientific activity in implant prosthodontics.
On this occasion, the event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, Drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastuti, MKes., Sp.BMM., PhD, who, in her speech, expressed her pride in the new dentists who had completed their education successfully.
“Today is a historic day for all of us, especially for the new dentists. You have gone through a long and challenging journey to reach this point. Hopefully, you can serve the community well and continue to improve your competence in the field of dentistry,” she said.
The event continued with the oath/promise-taking led by Drg. Wiwiek Poedjiastuti, MKes., Sp.BMM., PhD. In this procession, the new dentists solemnly recited their oaths/promises, committing to perform their duties and responsibilities with integrity and professionalism. The oath/promise-taking ceremony concluded with congratulations and the awarding of certificates to the new dentists. Additionally, the event was enlivened by musical performances and expressions of gratitude from the new graduates to the faculty leaders of Universitas Trisakti’s Faculty of Dentistry and the parents of each graduate, adding to the festive atmosphere.
With the inauguration of these 66 new dentists, it is hoped that they will make a significant contribution to improving the quality of dental and oral health services in Indonesia. Congratulations to the new dentists, and may they succeed in carrying out this noble duty.
