The Parkit Hallway of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Universitas Trisakti came alive with imaginative and creative expression during the Mural Parkit event held from Friday, November 15, 2024, to Monday, November 25, 2024. Initiated by the Student Organization of FSRD, this event adopted the theme “Fantasy Surrealism”, showcasing the beauty of Indonesia’s native flora and fauna through mural art that blends realism with fantasy. In addition to being a key program of the FSRD Student Association, this activity also celebrated the 59th anniversary of Universitas Trisakti.

The unique theme aimed to provide an expressive platform for students passionate about fine arts, especially mural art. Beyond serving as a stage for creative work, the event was designed to encourage art exploration rooted in local culture, foster collaboration among participants, and broaden artistic perspectives within the student community.

Mural Parkit offered students the opportunity to convey their ideas and visions through artwork that emphasized boundless creativity. Through the theme of Indonesia’s flora and fauna, participants were invited to combine the natural beauty of the archipelago with surrealist techniques, resulting in unique and inspiring murals.

The event took place offline at the Parkit Hallway, an iconic area of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Universitas Trisakti. With its collaborative art concept, participants were not only challenged to present their creations but also encouraged to share experiences and insights about mural art with one another.

Mural Parkit aimed to foster a supportive atmosphere for student creativity while strengthening the sense of community among FSRD’s academic members. Active FSRD students with a passion for mural art were the participants, making this event a valuable platform for honing their artistic skills.

More than just an art exhibition, Mural Parkit was a movement inviting students to celebrate Indonesia’s natural beauty through innovative and creative mural art.
