On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Universitas Trisakti and Universitas Islam Al-Ihya Kuningan announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that encompasses the development of higher education through teaching, research, and community service. This MoU signing aims to enhance the quality of education, research, and community service at both universities. The collaboration between Universitas Trisakti and Universitas Islam Al-Ihya is expected to provide significant benefits to students, faculty, and the general public.

The event was attended by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, the Vice Rectors I – IV of Universitas Trisakti, the Deans of Universitas Trisakti, the Director of KUIKK Universitas Trisakti, Ir. Agus Guntoro, M.Si., Ph.D, the Rector of Universitas Islam Al-Ihya Kuningan, Nurul Iman Hima Amrullah, S.Ag., M.Si, the Vice Rectors I – II along with their teams from Universitas Islam Al-Ihya. In his speech, the Rector of Universitas Trisakti expressed that Universitas Trisakti warmly welcomes this MoU and will support all programs scheduled with Universitas Islam Al-Ihya.

Furthermore, the Rector of Universitas Islam Al-Ihya Kuningan expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation between Universitas Islam Al-Ihya and Usakti in the fields of education, research, and community service. He also opened opportunities for collaboration in the development of campus infrastructure and facilities, the development of tourist areas around the Universitas Al-Ihya campus, and community service such as the management and utilization of animal waste.

There are several key points in this MoU. The first point is the student exchange program between the two universities, which provides opportunities for students to gain learning experiences in different environments and broaden their knowledge. The second point is that the two universities will collaborate in conducting interdisciplinary research in various fields of science and technology, which is expected to result in innovations beneficial to society. The third point is the Joint Study Program, which opens opportunities for the development of joint study programs between Universitas Trisakti and Universitas Islam Al-Ihya.

This joint study program will allow students to earn dual degrees or joint certificates from both universities. The next point is the development of a curriculum relevant to the needs of the industry and the job market, ensuring that graduates from both universities will be ready to face challenges in the workforce. The final point is Community Service Activities. The MoU also emphasizes the importance of community service, with both universities collaborating to carry out community service activities such as counseling, training, and partnership programs with various parties.

The signing of this MoU is expected to mark a good beginning in strengthening the cooperation between Universitas Trisakti and Universitas Islam Al-Ihya. Both parties are committed to implementing the agreed-upon programs with enthusiasm and dedication for the advancement of education and society.
