KUM-ITT Desa Academic Year 2024/2025

The Kuliah Usaha Mandiri – Ilmu Teknologi Terapan (KUM-ITT), previously known as Kuliah Kerja Nyata – Kuliah Kerja Usaha (KKN-KKU), is an elective academic course organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Universitas Trisakti. This intramural community service program engages students in interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and cross-sectoral activities aimed at supporting the achievement of the Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through direct participation.

The 2024/2025 KUM-ITT Desa program, themed:
“Optimizing and Empowering Sustainable Local Potential through Appropriate Technology Innovation for Impactful Rural Communities”
will be held from Thursday, July 3 to Saturday, July 12, 2025, involving 70 students and 6 field supervisors.

The program will take place across six villages in the Ciambar District, Sukabumi, West Java:

  • Ciambar Village
  • Ginanjar Village
  • Ambarjaya Village
  • Wangunjaya Village
  • Munjul Village
  • Cibunarjaya Village

The official send-off ceremony for the participants was attended by Dr. H.M. Ridha Haykal Amal, Director of Village and Disadvantaged Areas’ Flagship Product Development at the Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia.

The ceremony was also attended by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, accompanied by Vice Rectors I and III, along with Deans, Vice Deans, Vice Deans III, the Director of LPPM, and the Deputy Director for Community Service.

Through the implementation of the 2024/2025 KUM-ITT Desa program, Universitas Trisakti reaffirms its commitment to supporting sustainable rural development by fostering synergy between academia and local communities. Emphasizing cross-disciplinary collaboration and the application of appropriate technology, this initiative aims to create tangible impacts in improving the quality of life in rural areas while strengthening students’ roles as agents of change. KUM-ITT serves not only as an experiential learning platform but also as a concrete manifestation of Universitas Trisakti’s academic community in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level.
