Komnas Perempuan and Ngopi Jakarta Community Conduct Reformasi Pilgrimage at Universitas Trisakti

Jakarta, May 17, 2025 — The National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan), in collaboration with the Ngopi Jakarta Community, held a Napak Reformasi (Reform Pilgrimage) at Universitas Trisakti on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The event was joined by companions, art communities, state institutions, and members of the public.

This visit aimed to emphasize the role of the museum as a vital source of information and knowledge about the May 12, 1998 tragedy at Universitas Trisakti and the broader Reformation movement in Indonesia.

Commissioner Sondang Frishka, Acting Vice Chair of Komnas Perempuan, stated that the activity was held as part of efforts to preserve the collective memory of past human rights violations in Indonesia.

A total of 100 participants joined the program, which included a moment of prayer at the Trisakti Reform Monument, followed by a museum visit, a pilgrimage to the memorials of the four Reform Heroes, a flower-laying ceremony, and concluded with a group photo session.

This commemorative event served as a reminder of the importance of upholding justice, remembering the sacrifices made, and continuing the spirit of Reformasi in the present day.
