TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at Universitas Trisakti for 2024 has concluded. The event, held over two days from August 23-24, 2024, was attended by new students from various study programs, as well as members of the Foundation, Rectorate, staff, and faculty members.

Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, emphasized the importance of PKKMB as an introduction and initial preparation for students embarking on their higher education journey at Universitas Trisakti.

“This activity is a first step for you to get to know the academic world and develop your potential within the Universitas Trisakti campus environment. Take advantage of this event to broaden your knowledge and understand Universitas Trisakti more deeply,” he said in a press statement received on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

In addition to introducing the campus environment, PKKMB included various motivational activities from professional speakers and alumni, as well as introductions to student organizations at both the university and faculty levels. New students appeared enthusiastic as they participated in the series of events, which ran from morning until late afternoon.

On the same occasion, Vice-Rector III for Student Affairs, Ir. Yoska Oktaviano, M.T., stated that a significant agenda has been prepared for the new students to help them develop their academic and non-academic potential.

“We have prepared a significant agenda for the new students. Through the platforms available at Universitas Trisakti, we hope to help students explore and develop their potential. This also aims to eliminate any indications of bullying within the Trisakti University environment. So, we have organized positive and enjoyable activities that hold achievements up to the international level, so students can further develop themselves in a positive direction,” he explained.

A new student from the Faculty of Law, Virly Catherine Anindhya, expressed her joy in participating in the event.

“I am very happy to be part of the big family of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti. This event provided a lot of important information and made me more confident in starting my academic journey here,” she said.

The PKKMB event, themed “Welcoming Trisakti Muda: Towards a Progressive and High-Achieving Individual,” was held in the parking area in front of the Rectorate Building M at the Universitas Trisakti campus, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. The goal was to introduce new students to academic and non-academic life on campus.

Additionally, the event aimed to build a sense of togetherness by introducing the academic cultural values of Universitas Trisakti, helping new students quickly adapt to the campus environment.
