Universitas Trisakti once again hosted its prestigious annual event, the International Guest Lecture Trisep 2024, on Monday, May 5, 2024. Held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP), the event successfully attracted participants including students, lecturers, and industry practitioners.

Trisep 2024 featured several international experts who shared their insights and experiences in the field of sustainable urban development, including:

• Assistant Prof. Ir. Dr. Deprizon Syamsunur, PEng (Head of Civil Engineering Department, UCSI University, Malaysia)
• Dr. Norshakila Muhamad Rawai (Lecturer of Architecture Department, UCSI University, Malaysia)
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitchai Jitkhajornwanich (Lecturer of Architecture Department, Thammasat University, Thailand)
• Ir. Annin Hudaya, ST., MT., IPU (Graduate of Civil Engineering, Universitas Trisakti, Director of PT Stadin)
• Gierlang Bhakti Putra, ST, MSc (Lecturer of Architecture Department, Universitas Trisakti, Indonesia)

The session was moderated by Dra. Agustin R. Lakawa, M.S., Ph.D (Lecturer of Architecture Department, Universitas Trisakti, Indonesia).

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Ir. A. Hadi Prabowo, MT, who emphasized the importance of global collaboration in facing the challenges of modern urbanization.

“This event is part of Universitas Trisakti’s commitment to continually contribute to the development of science and technology, particularly in the context of sustainable development. Through collaboration with international experts, we can broaden our horizons and strengthen our capacity to create innovative solutions for urban problems,” said Dr. Ir. A. Hadi Prabowo, MT.

The event began with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning at Universitas Trisakti and the Indonesian Society of Steel Construction (ISSC), signed by Dr. Ir. A. Hadi Prabowo, MT, Dean of FTSP, and Budi Harta Winata, General Chairman of ISSC.

The participants, especially Universitas Trisakti students, were very enthusiastic and active during the question-and-answer session. One student, Ardiansyah, stated, “I am very inspired by today’s speakers. This lecture opened my eyes to the importance of innovation in city planning and how we as the younger generation can play a role in creating better cities.”

The International Guest Lecture Trisep 2024 concluded with the presentation of award plaques to the speakers and a group photo. This event is expected to be an important momentum for Universitas Trisakti to continue playing an active role in crucial global issues, particularly in the development of sustainable cities.
