Universitas Trisakti had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from Timor Leste, consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture of Timor Leste. This visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in higher education and build a closer synergy in the exchange of knowledge and culture. The visit took place on June 10, 2024, in the Meeting Room on the 9th Floor of Building M, Campus A, Universitas Trisakti.

The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, warmly welcomed the Timor Leste delegation. In his welcome speech, he expressed Universitas Trisakti’s pleasure in hosting the delegation, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration.

“Currently, Universitas Trisakti has signed MOUs with two universities in Timor Leste. International collaboration in education is crucial in facing global dynamics. We are very enthusiastic about welcoming the Timor Leste delegation and believe this visit will open doors for broader cooperation in the future,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA.

In addition to the Vice Rectors, the visit was attended by the Deans, the International Cooperation and Public Relations Unit (KUIKK), and the Head of Public Relations (UPT Humas). Jaime Andre Simoes, the Education Attaché of Timor Leste to Indonesia, was also present. This visit provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange experiences and best practices in higher education management, and to explore potential collaborations in student and faculty exchanges and joint research. The visit not only strengthened bilateral relations between Indonesia and Timor Leste but also served as a concrete step in expanding the horizons of higher education in the region.
