“Indonesia Punya Kamu Goes To Campus” Kicks Off at Universitas Trisakti

Jakarta, June 24, 2025 — The inspiring event “Indonesia Punya Kamu Goes To Campus” was successfully held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the 8th-floor Auditorium of Building D, Universitas Trisakti. This event marked a collaborative effort among four prominent media outlets: Garuda TV, Indozone, Antara Indonesian News Agency, and On Us Asia.

The event opened with a warm welcome from the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, who expressed his appreciation for the event as a meaningful educational collaboration between academia and the media industry. The welcome remarks were followed by a speech from Riel Tasmaya, CEO of Indozone Media, who represented all organizing partners in this joint initiative.

With a strong focus on education and youth skill development in media and journalism, the event featured four main sessions led by seasoned professionals:

  • Session 1: Jemmy Darusman, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Garuda TV, opened the series of discussions with the topic “Public Speaking.” He shared effective communication techniques and emphasized the importance of public speaking skills, particularly in the media industry.
  • Session 2: Fahmy Fotaleno, Editor-in-Chief of Indozone Media, presented on “The Use of AI in Journalism.” Fahmy explored how artificial intelligence is transforming news production—from research and content creation to distribution.
  • Session 3: Muhammad Harrel, Video Correspondent and Social Media Specialist at Antara TV, delivered a session on “Creating Photos and Videos with News Value.” He also outlined practical steps for producing visually compelling and journalistically sound content.
  • Session 4: Amilia Shalihati, Group General Manager of On Us Asia, concluded the series with the topic “Event Management.” Amilia shared insights and strategies on planning and executing events of various scales, based on her extensive industry experience.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to each speaker, followed by a group photo session that captured the spirit of connection between students and media professionals.

“Indonesia Punya Kamu Goes To Campus” stands as a testament to how synergy between the education sector and the media industry can foster a dynamic, relevant, and inspiring learning environment for Indonesia’s younger generation.
