The Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti inaugurated the Negotiation and Mediation Room located on the 8th floor of Building H on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. The inauguration ceremony was attended by various parties, including university leaders, lecturers, students, and alumni of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti. This Negotiation and Mediation Room is a contribution from one of the faculty’s distinguished alumni, Sahala MPH Siahaan, SH, who also serves as the Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti. The new facility is expected to support academic activities and legal practice for students and to provide a means to hone skills in negotiation and mediation.

In his speech, Sahala MPH Siahaan, SH, expressed his pride in being able to make a tangible contribution to his beloved alma mater.

“As an alumnus, I feel responsible for giving something beneficial to the next generation. This Negotiation and Mediation Room is expected to be a place for students to learn and practice crucial skills in legal practice,” he said.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti, Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, SH. MH., who was also present at the event, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to Sahala MPH Siahaan, SH, for his contribution.

“We greatly appreciate and thank the alumni, especially Mr. Sahala MPH Siahaan. This facility will be very beneficial for students in developing their skills in the field of law,” said Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, SH. MH.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by the Opening of the Curtain and the signing of the plaque by Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, SH. MH. After that, the guests were invited to directly view the facilities and equipment in the Negotiation and Mediation Room. With the establishment of this Negotiation and Mediation Room, the Faculty of Law Universitas Trisakti is expected to further enhance the quality of legal education and produce graduates who are ready to face challenges in the professional world. This room is also expected to be used for various academic activities, such as mock trials, mediation training, and negotiation workshops, all of which will provide valuable practical experience for students.
