The Industrial Engineering Student Association made an industrial visit to PT Ajinomoto Indonesia in Kerawang to expand its members’ understanding of the production and management processes in the Ajinomoto product industry, which is known as the number 1 flavoring producer in Indonesia. This visit was held on 8 – 10 June 2023. During the visit, students had the opportunity to see firsthand modern and up-to-date production facilities, learn techniques for processing raw materials into quality final products, and gain insight into efficient and innovative management practices in the flavoring industry . This visit provides a valuable opportunity for Industrial Engineering students to see the application of the knowledge and theories learned in class in a real-world context and enrich their knowledge about industries relevant to their field of study.
The comparative study of the Universitas Trisakti Industrial Engineering Student Association to Universitas Brawijaya received a warm welcome. Chair of the Industrial Engineering Department at Universitas Brawijaya, L Tri Wijaya, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of collaboration between Universitas Trisakti and Brawijaya in the field of industrial engineering. Wijaya expressed his hope that the two universities could support and collaborate with each other to improve the quality of education in this field.
Assistant Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, Ir Sucipto Adisuwiryo, MT., in his speech underlined the important role of student organizations in forming quality students. Mr. Cipto emphasized that students who are active in student organizations should have better achievements than those who only focus on academic studies. This is expected to foster leadership attitudes, creativity and collaboration skills among students.
The head of the comparative study, Rama, said that with this comparative study, the two student associations could learn from each other and benefit from both parties. He hopes that through the exchange of experience and knowledge between Trisakti and Brawijaya students, there will be an increase in understanding and skills in the field of industrial engineering.
Not to be left behind, the Chair of the Universitas Brawijaya Industrial Engineering Association also conveyed the importance of collaboration between the two student organizations. He stated that by establishing close cooperation, both parties can support each other in developing student potential and producing graduates who are ready to face challenges in the industrial world. It is hoped that this collaboration will strengthen the relationship between Universitas Trisakti and Brawijaya and make a positive contribution to the field of industrial engineering in Indonesia.
With this comparative study, it is hoped that there will be good synergy between Universitas Trisakti and Brawijaya in developing the field of industrial engineering. Cooperation, student achievement, mutual learning and collaboration were important points in this meeting. Both student associations hope that activities like this can continue to be carried out in the future to improve the quality of education and student development in Indonesia.
This activity was attended by 68 students accompanied by 3 lecturers and 1 educational staff.
