Jakarta, November 23, 2024 – The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology, Universitas Trisakti (IKAL-FALTL), successfully held its General Assembly (MUBES) on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Sjarief Tayeb Building, Campus A, Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta. The event served as a platform to strengthen alumni connections and strategize initiatives to support the advancement of the faculty and university.
Among the distinguished attendees was Silmy Karim, Chairman of the Trisakti Alumni Association (IKA Trisakti) and Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections, who delivered an opening speech emphasizing the critical role of alumni in fostering faculty growth and contributing to the fields of landscape architecture and environmental technology.
The MUBES also featured the election of the Chairperson for the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology for the 2024–2028 term. The three candidates were:
The election process was conducted smoothly and transparently, resulting in the appointment of Aji Mirni Mawarni, S.T., M.M. as the new Chairperson. Aji, a 1994 Environmental Engineering alumnus and currently a Senator of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) for East Kalimantan, expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her.
“I will strive to carry out this responsibility with full commitment, strengthen ties among alumni, and support the faculty’s future progress,” said Aji during her victory speech.
With the election of the new Chairperson, the MUBES is expected to pave the way for collaborative programs benefiting alumni, students, and the faculty. Alumni roles are anticipated to become increasingly vital in addressing the growing challenges in landscape architecture and environmental technology, underpinned by a spirit of unity among Trisakti University alumni.
The event was attended by faculty representatives, including Dr. Margareta Maria Sintorini Moerdjoko, M.Kes., representing the Dean of FALTL, and university leadership represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, MT., IPM., Asean Eng., currently serving as the Director of the Universitas Trisakti Institute for Research and Community Development.
