Jakarta, May 17, 2025 — The Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) at Universitas Trisakti successfully held its Open House event on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at the FSRD campus. The event aimed to introduce the world of art and design to the public, particularly high school and vocational school students with a passion for creative and innovative fields.

This year’s Open House featured a variety of interactive workshops that showcased the strengths and unique characteristics of the study programs within FSRD. Activities included model photography using studio lighting, character design with AI technology, exploration of Gutha Tamarind batik techniques, interior design using SketchUp, and digital sketching for automotive design.

The event was attended by students from several schools across the Greater Jakarta area, including SMK Ma’arif NU Jakarta, SMK Ekonomika Depok, and SMKN 3 Bekasi. Their presence added vibrancy to the event and reflected the growing enthusiasm of the younger generation for the world of art and design.

“We want to provide students with hands-on experience of the creative process at FSRD. Through this event, we hope to inspire them to further explore their interests and potential in art and design,” said Prof. Dr. Wegig Murwonugroho, M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design.

In addition to being a promotional platform, the event also served as a means to strengthen communication between the university and its partner schools while broadening students’ perspectives on higher education options in the creative fields.
