The Research and Community Service Institute of Universitas Trisakti held the final presentation and closing ceremony for the Independent Business Study – Applied Sciences (KUM-ITT) Village for the academic year 2023/2024. The event took place in Ciambar Village, Sukabumi, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, conducted online via ZOOM. The event was attended by university leaders, deans, the head of LPPM Usakti and its staff, as well as student groups and field supervisors participating in the KUM-ITT Village activities.

During the event, each group presented their implemented work programs in Ciambar Village, followed by a Q&A session where university leaders asked the student groups about the process, challenges, and results of their work programs.

The head of the Research and Community Service Institute of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., reported that the KUM-ITT implementation in Ciambar District had been successful from the proposal stage to its execution, involving 120 students. The KUM-ITT was carried out in 5 villages, implementing 18 SDGs goals in student work programs, grouped into 10 work programs for Trisakti University.

The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., in his speech, expressed pride in the students who demonstrated empathy, love, and social concern for the village community. The positive impression from the village community towards the students’ contributions included efforts to improve health, food, education, law, and fine arts.

In line with implementing the 18 SDGs goals for the village within 10 work programs, the KUM-ITT Village successfully provided solutions to village communities while addressing global issues by solving local problems with globally recognized results.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates by Prof. Dr. Ir. Astri Rinanti, M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., to the field supervisors and student representatives of KUM-ITT.

Hopefully, the successful results of KUM-ITT will enhance the welfare of the village and help involved students become more prepared and competitive for future challenges.
