Jakarta – To commemorate National Batik Day, Universitas Trisakti proudly presents the Festival Wastra Nusantara, featuring an Eco-Printing Workshop and Fabric Styling Competition under the theme “Expressions of Cultural and Environmental Love through Eco-Printing.” The event was held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB at the Auditorium, 8th Floor, Building F-G, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Campus A, Universitas Trisakti.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., accompanied by Vice Rector IV, Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD.

As the keynote speaker, the committee invited Dra. Atridia Wilastrina, M.Ds., Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Art and Design, who shared her knowledge and expertise on eco-printing techniques. Through this workshop, participants were encouraged to appreciate wastra not only as a cultural product but also as a form of environmental awareness.

In addition to the workshop, the event also featured a No-Sew Fabric Styling Competition, which showcased the creativity of students from various faculties. After a thorough judging process, the winners were announced as follows:

• 1st Place: Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy
• 2nd Place: Faculty of Art and Design
• 3rd Place: Faculty of Law

The Festival Wastra Nusantara not only served as a creative platform for the academic community and the public to preserve the cultural tradition of fabric styling but also as a meaningful moment to strengthen national identity through the celebration of National Batik Day, while promoting greater awareness of sustainable living.
