The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Trisakti conducted a training session themed “Creative Writing in Online Media” on Thursday, May 30, 2024, on the 8th floor of Building I at Universitas Trisakti. Creative writing is no longer just a hobby, but a highly valuable skill in today’s increasingly digital world. Recognizing the importance of honing writing talent and developing the ability to convey messages effectively, Universitas Trisakti organized an intensive training session titled “Creative Writing.”

The speaker and resource person for this training was Aat Surya Safaat, an expert in journalist competency testing. This training provided participants with a platform to explore various techniques, strategies, and approaches in writing. By focusing on the use of powerful words, engaging narratives, and distinctive writing styles, participants were expected to enhance their skills in delivering messages more clearly, persuasively, and captivatingly.

Through various practical activities, discussions, and direct feedback from the instructor, participants were guided to explore different writing styles, find their own voice, and adjust their writing style according to the desired communication objectives.

“This training provides valuable insights on how to develop writing skills effectively, especially in this digital era where the ability to write on social media and other online platforms is increasingly important,” added Prof. Dr. Yolanda Masnita Siagian, MM, CIRR, CMA, CPM (Asia), Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Trisakti.

The Creative Writing training Universitas Trisakti offered participants the opportunity to explore and hone their writing talents, as well as increase their confidence in conveying their ideas and stories to the world. It is hoped that this training will be an inspiring first step for those who wish to develop their communication skills in crafting news content for social media.
