Jakarta, July 10, 2025 — Universitas Trisakti, in collaboration with the Directorate of Police Animal Unit (Ditpolsatwa) of the Korsabhara Baharkam POLRI, held a Partnership Dialogue and Outreach event themed “Uniting the Steps of Ditpolsatwa and Universitas Trisakti for Indonesia”, at the Universitas Trisakti campus in Jakarta.
The event focused on synergistic efforts to enhance the capacity of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force through horseback riding and K-9 handler training programs. These initiatives serve as strategic approaches to support law enforcement and drug eradication efforts in Indonesia.
The event was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, who emphasized in his remarks that collaboration between academia and law enforcement is vital for creating innovative, science-based solutions to national issues, including drug prevention.
Following the Rector’s remarks, Brig. Gen. Pol. Tory Kristianto, S.I.K., representing Ditpolsatwa of Korsabhara Baharkam POLRI, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of developing the skills of animals such as horses and K-9 units, as well as the critical role of professional handlers in enhancing the effectiveness of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force in the field.
Brig. Gen. Pol. Dr. Putupera Sadana, S.I.K., M.Hum., M.M., Acting Director of Samapta Korsabhara Baharkam POLRI, also addressed the audience. In his presentation, he emphasized that the event is not solely about technical training but is also part of a long-term strategy to develop community-based, environmentally aware policing.

This event reinforced the tangible steps being taken by Ditpolsatwa and Universitas Trisakti in supporting sustainable development, environmental protection, and human resource capacity-building through training, research, and collaborative innovation. The partnership is expected to serve as a model for cross-sectoral strategic cooperation aimed at building a more resilient and competitive Indonesia.
