The Student Affairs Department of Universitas Trisakti, in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Culture Office, organized the Betawi Arts and Culture Extravaganza on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Plaza Kampus A, Universitas Trisakti. The event was inaugurated by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., who stated in his opening remarks, “This is an event aimed at introducing, preserving, and promoting Betawi arts and culture to students and the general public within the university environment.”

The event was attended by university leaders and the academic community of Usakti. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with cultural richness on the stage of the Betawi Arts & Culture Extravaganza! From the lively traditional dances to the camaraderie in the MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) bazaar, the event was also enlivened by performances from the bands of the Rectorate, the Faculty of Dentistry, and the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Energy Technology. It showcased the beauty and uniqueness of Betawi cultural heritage. Visitors were captivated by the excellence of Tanjidor music performances and Gambang Kromong songs, as well as the delightful flavors of Betawi cuisine that stimulated the palate. It was a presentation that enriched knowledge, strengthened unity, and encouraged a greater love and understanding of the beauty of Betawi traditional arts. Together, we celebrate the splendor of art that transcends the boundaries of time.
