Jakarta, January 14, 2025 – Universitas Trisakti hosted a Campus Friendship Gathering in collaboration with Can Tho University, Vietnam, under the theme “United in Culture, Synergized in Education.” The event took place in the Auditorium of Building F&G at Universitas Trisakti, aiming to strengthen ties and foster synergy in cultural and educational fields between the two universities.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector IV of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. drg. Tri Erri Astoeti, M.Kes., FISDPH., FISPD, who expressed her high hopes for a strategic collaboration between Universitas Trisakti and Can Tho University. In her remarks, she highlighted the importance of international synergy in enhancing education quality and promoting cross-cultural connections.

Dr. Le Ngoc Triet, Dean of the School of Political Science at Can Tho University, also delivered an address, extending his heartfelt appreciation for the warm welcome from Universitas Trisakti. He underscored the potential for collaboration in advancing education and research, stating:
“This partnership will create significant opportunities for knowledge exchange, cultural enrichment, and the development of future generations at both universities.”

The Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, led a discussion with leaders from Can Tho University. The dialogue focused on exploring collaboration opportunities across various areas, including student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and participation in international activities aimed at strengthening global educational networks.

In a separate session, students from Can Tho University engaged in a dialogue with the Student Council of Universitas Trisakti. This activity provided a platform for students from both institutions to share their experiences in education, leadership, and culture, further fostering friendships among the younger generation.

As the event concluded, guests were invited to visit the Tragedy of May 12 Museum at Universitas Trisakti. The visit served as a reflective moment, offering insight into the historical struggles of Universitas Trisakti students in upholding democratic values. This immersive experience added emotional depth to the relationship between the two universities.

This gathering is expected to mark the beginning of a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership, strengthening both educational advancements and cultural ties.
