Jakarta, September 1, 2024 – Universitas Trisakti organized a Basic Leadership Training with the theme “Shaping Creative, Innovative, and Responsible Leadership in Organizations.” The event aimed to equip Diploma III students with leadership skills that would support them in campus organizations and their professional lives.

The event was opened by Dr. Aekram Faisal Mahfudz, MM, CMA, CPM (Asia), the Head of the DIII MICE Program, who emphasized the importance of a leader’s role in creating a conducive organizational environment. Also present was the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Abubakar Arief, SE, MM, who stated that being a leader requires not only technical skills but also three essential qualities: Ethics, resilience, and a humanistic approach.

“A leader must have strong ethics, be able to endure challenging situations, and always prioritize humanity in every decision,” said Abubakar.

The first session was presented by Richy Wijaya W, SE, MM, CRA, CRP, CIFM, on the topic “Planning, Organizing, and Reporting Student Activities.” In this session, participants were given in-depth insights into managing organizational activities. As a motivation for self-development, Mrs. Helena Kristina Leman, S. Psi., M. Psi., encouraged participants to understand the importance of self-motivation in building strong leadership character through her session titled “Character Building and Self Motivation.”

The final session of the event was “Team Building,” led by M. Apud Kusaeri, S.Pd., M.Si. This session was designed to strengthen teamwork and communication among participants. The event was closed by Sofie, SE, AK, M.Si, CA, CGP, the Head of the DIII ASP Program, who expressed her hope that the participants would apply the knowledge they gained in their organizational activities.

Also attending the event were Dr. Nur’aini Chaniago, SE, MM, Head of the DIII Finance & Sharia Banking Program, along with Secretary Firdayetti, SE, MSi, Secretary of the DIII Public Sector Accounting Program Ice, and Secretary of the DIII Management Services (MICE) Program Dwi Hartini Rahayu, SE, MM, CIFM. This Basic Leadership Training is expected to be the first step for students to become creative, innovative, and responsible leaders in any organization they join.
