Yenny Wahid is the second daughter of the former President of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, and Sinta Nuriyah. Born on October 29, 1974, she began her career as a journalist and served as a correspondent for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age (Melbourne) from 1997 to 1999. She briefly studied at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia, before deciding to transfer to Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Arts and Design, Universitas Trisakti. Yenny Wahid has held several important positions, including Special Staff for Political Communication during the Presidency of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Secretary-General of the National Awakening Party, and currently serves as the Director of the Wahid Institute.
