His name first gained recognition when he became the figure behind the phenomenal Twitter account, Poconggg, back in 2011. Arief Muhammad also wrote a best-selling book titled “Poconggg juga Pocong,” which was later adapted into a movie. After that, Arief Muhammad expanded his horizons into entrepreneurship and now owns various businesses ranging from culinary ventures to dormitories. Some of the business brands he has created include Baso Aci Akang, Prepp Studio, Billionaire’s Project, Ternak Kostan, Cakekinian, GREBE, Mie Bangcad, Cuan Cuan, Teknosia, and most recently, the Padang Restaurant, Payakumbuah, which has multiple branches. He is also active as a YouTuber, actor in films, and Brand Ambassador.

Arief Muhammad is known to be a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, class of 2008. Arief even met his wife, Tiara Pangestika, in 2010 when they were both studying at Universitas Trisakti. Now, this couple of Universitas Trisakti alumni has been blessed with two children.
