Indonesia and Romania Commemorate 75 Years of Diplomatic Relations Through Public Lecture at Universitas Trisakti

Jakarta, 14 July 2025 — To commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Romania, a public lecture titled “Romanian-Indonesian Relations in the Context of the 75-Year Diplomatic Milestone” was held on Monday, 14 July 2025, at the 12th floor of Building M, Universitas Trisakti. The event was attended by academics, faculty members, and students from Universitas Trisakti.

The event commenced with opening remarks by the Rector of Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, followed by a welcome address from H.E. Dan-Adrian Balanescu, Ambassador of Romania to Indonesia.

The highlight of the event was the public lecture delivered by Ambassador H.E. Dan-Adrian Balanescu, under the same theme, “Romanian-Indonesian Relations in the Context of the 75-Year Diplomatic Milestone.” The session was moderated by Amalia Zuhra, SH., LLM., Ph.D., Head of the International Center, Office of International Affairs, Cooperation, and Culture (KUIKK) at Universitas Trisakti. The lecture sparked great interest and was followed by an engaging Q&A session, with questions from both lecturers and students regarding various aspects of Romania.

At the conclusion of the event, a souvenir was presented to the Ambassador of Romania, followed by a group photo session with the participants.

This event served as a moment of reflection on the long-standing bilateral relations between the two nations, which began with the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1950. The lecture covered a broad range of topics, including political, economic, educational, and cultural cooperation between Indonesia and Romania.
